Parliament Speaker Arsenii Yatseniuk has announced that the parliament is ready to assist the Cabinet of Ministers in implementation of the anti-inflation policy.

He announced this speaking to Finance Minister Viktor Pynzenyk.

"We are ready to give our shoulder to Ukraine because this is not the problem of politicians, not personalities, but a national problem," Yatseniuk said.

He called on the Cabinet to submit proposals to the Rada on changes to the 2008 national budget law and a set of anti-inflation measures.

"I think that all reasonable people are ready to adopt radical decisions aimed exclusively at stabilization of the macro-economic system of the State," Yatseniuk noted.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Yatseniuk hoped that the Cabinet of Ministers would submit budget changes to the parliament on June 4.

Inflation was 3.1% in April and 13.1% in January-April.
